12th International Scientific Conference



On 19th November 2020, our University organized the International Conference. Due to the pandemic, the conference was organized in on-line form with the active participation of more then 80 scientists and experts from numerous scientific institution and universities from  Poland as well as from different European Universities (taly, Spain, Albania, Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia).

The aim of the conference was to define standards and directions of activities with the use of new technologies to ensure the safety of the individual and society, which appears as a digital code of rights and freedoms for the evolving humanity in the new reality. The goal was to present the positive aspect of cyberculture, and a departure from awareness and transfer of knowledge about threats and dangers. We also wanted to propose solutions regarding new possibilities in the field of technology.

The Conference starts with opening session follow by opening lecture given by Krzysztof Malesa, Ph.D - Vice-director of the Government Security Center, Poland, titled: Resilient society: the first line of defence on tough times. Then we have main session with the lectures given by Prof. Ksenofon Krisafi & Kejsi Rizo  from Mediterranean University of Tirana, Albania (topic: The boundary between freedom of expression and hate speech in the world
of digital transformation: the role of the media. Case of Albania), Prof. Svitlana Zapara & Assoc. Prof. Alona Klochko from Sumy National Agrarian Univesity, Ukraine (topic: Conscious harmonious coexistence in ecosystems: social activity and responsible development), Assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Such-Pyrgiel from the Alcide de Gasperi University of Euroregional Economy in Józefów, Poland (topic: Society of the digital age - characteristics of the most important categories of changes),  Prof. Ferdinando Parente from University of Bari "Aldo Moro", Italy (topic: Cyberculture and juridical dogmatics) and  Prof. Maria Lidón Lara Ortiz from Jaume I University in Castellón de la Plana, Spain (topic: Digital transformation processes in the European Union).

After main session, we had five simultaneous language session in English, Italian/Spanish and Polish. During these sessions, different issues related to security, cybersecurity and cyberculture were discussed. The particular sessions and topics of speeches were related to such areas as: Human being and Society in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Digital technologies in the context of contemporary threats and the use of modern technological solutions in the field of security and The need to build cyberculture in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. - educational, legislative, and ethical challenges.

The last part of our Conference was closing session where we conclude this wonderful event and express the hope to meet again.
